Baton Rouge General Physicians Expands Services with New Doctors

BATON ROUGE, La. – Ubaid Abbasi, MD, and Lauren Tillery, MD, have recently joined Baton Rouge General Physicians (BRGP), offering patients easier access to care as Baton Rouge General continues to expand its footprint around the metro area in Baton Rouge. Both physicians completed their residency training at BRG’s Family Medicine Residency Program and are taking in-person as well as virtual visits.

Dr. Tillery received a doctorate degree from LSUHSC New Orleans School of Medicine and a master’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. She also received her undergraduate degree in Biological Basis of Behavior at the University of Pennsylvania. A Baton Rouge native, Dr. Tillery will serve the Zachary community at BRGP – Zachary, located at 1185 Americana Blvd., Suite 2170. To make an appointment, schedule online or call (225) 237-1625.

Dr. Ubaid Abbasi earned a doctorate degree from Saba University, School of Medicine and an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from McNeese State University. As chief resident in BRG’s Family Medicine Residency Program, he was awarded the Gerald R. Gehringer Award for outstanding his leadership and scholarly accomplishments. A native of Pakistan who grew up in Lake Charles, Dr. Abbasi will take care of patients at BRGP – Medical Associates of Baton Rouge, located at 3401 North Blvd., Suite 400.
