Steps to Safer Healthcare
At Baton Rouge General Physicians, we want you to feel confident you can
see your physician, get your recommended screenings, or be treated for
sickness without fear of contracting something else in the process. That’s
why we’ve added new precautions and options in our clinics.
If employees have symptoms of a respiratory illness, they are required
to stay home until they have recovered completely and cleared by our Employee
Health department. Baton Rouge General Physicians also provides COVID-19
testing to all employees with respiratory symptoms. Our employees wear
masks throughout all areas of the hospital and appropriate PPE while working
Baton Rouge General Physicians offers
telehealth/video visit appointments with our providers so you don’t have to leave home to see a provider.
To schedule a virtual visit, please call 225-763-4500. You will need either
a smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera.
Fast Pass Registration & Touchless Clinic Experience
If you are scheduled for an appointment or an online virtual visit, Baton
Rouge General Physicians offers a
fast track pre-registration process that creates a touchless experience in our offices. No pens and
no paper! Complete your new patient paperwork, upload your insurance card
and register in advance.
Morning Well Hours
If you just need a check-up or need to see a provider to get your medication
refilled, we have dedicated morning hours for well visits. If you are
sick and need to come in, we will schedule you for the afternoon.
Wait From The Comfort Of Your Car
If you have completed fast track registration or if you’re an existing
patient of the clinic, you can skip the waiting room and wait for your
exam room in your car. Arrive about 10 minutes early, then call our clinic
and let us know that you have arrived. After you check-in over the phone,
stay put and wait for your provider from the comfort of your car. The
clinic will call or text you when your exam room is ready and you’ll
walk straight in.
Entering the Building
All BRG employees wear masks throughout our clinics. Patients are also
required to wear masks when they enter the building. If you don’t
have a mask, we can provide one for you.
Hand sanitizing stations are available at clinic entrances, along with
disposable tissues or napkins that can be used to open doors. Be sure
to throw the napkin away immediately after opening the door.
Testing for COVID-19
If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please call us. We will guide
you on next steps and information on testing.
